Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® Florence is a sophisticated, grand colour found in neoclassical Italian and French interiors and on painted furniture. The colour originates from copper green minerals and malachite. It’s also a great modern 20th Century colour.

The inspiration behind this green patina paint colour comes from the colours of the copper green mineral and semi-precious stone, Malachite. In the 17th and 18th centuries it was used as a colour made with verdigris, but as it is a very volatile colour, turning black with time, it is unknown as to how it was used on woodwork in many houses. It is a classical copper green paint colour found in classical Italian furniture.
